History of Northwest Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine

Northwest Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine was founded in 1976 by Dr. Lewis G. Zirkle, Jr. Dr. Zirkle developed our present structure at 875 Swift Blvd. in 1976 – 1977. In 1979 he was joined by Dr. Herbert G. Gamber and later in the same year by Dr. John T. Samsell. With Dr. Samsell retiring and Dr. Zirkle dedicating most of his time to his SIGN company, help was needed to continue to serve the growing Tri-City population. Dr. Dawson and his wife, Dr. Tamara Simpson moved to the Tri-cities in April, 2007 to start their respective practices.
